Care for a sip of sweet poison?
Konpeitou is a one-of-a-kind creator who crafts a truly unique worldview, seamlessly weaving subtle undertones of taboo and melancholy into a delicate, soft pastel aesthetic.
The true essence of their artwork lies in its high artistic quality, achieved through a miraculous balance of sweetness and toxicity. From the lovely, doll-like girls and meticulously refined details to the elegant color palettes—every element is perfectly composed. By infusing this pure innocence with darker shadows, such as medical motifs and wistful facial expressions, they build an incredibly addictive world.
More than just "cute," the art possesses a heart-wrenching transience and a compelling contemporary graphic style. Step inside, and you too will surely find yourself captivated by this hauntingly beautiful universe.

Konpeitou's Story
Q: How do you bring your artworks to life?
A: My goal as a creator is to make illustrations that people will truly cherish, like a precious treasure. When I draw clothes, accessories, and even small objects in a room, I often find myself imagining the story behind them—why that specific character chose each item.
Q: Where do you draw your inspiration from?
A: Mainly from the photos I take myself. I love visiting different places to explore, observe, and capture moments through my camera. I also adore capsule toy miniatures; I collect them and really enjoy setting up little displays.
Q: What do you hope to convey through your illustrations?
A: I’ve always been drawn to art that isn't just cute, but also carries a subtle, eerie undertone—so I love weaving those elements into my work. If you have some time, I would be absolutely delighted if you could look closely and try to find those hidden details within my illustrations.
Enjoy the artwork with beautiful reproductions of the original pieces.
