Q: How do you create your own work?

This time, I was given the theme "Spring and Girls," and the first thing that came to mind was "A girl like a cherry blossom."

I think that in many cases, the creative process begins with an image expanding from a given theme or something you like or a color, and then it gradually takes shape and is finally born as a painting.

Q: What is your source of inspiration?

The inspiration for this new piece came largely from the atmosphere I felt while walking through a park with cherry blossoms - the impressions I received through my five senses, such as the light, wind, and warmth. I'm sometimes influenced by images I get from books, but I feel that the things I like that I've encountered up until now and the memories of the things I've actually felt have a deep influence on my current expression.

Q: What do you want to convey through your illustrations?

There are many different ways to create works, some of which I draw purely on my own, and others which I create in collaboration with others. If there is one thought that they all share, it is that this world is filled with colorful scenery, and each and every one of them has its own beautiful color. I hope that you will enjoy my illustrations as one of those colorful scenery.
